I have recently watched Dhamaal 4, and here is the full Dhamaal 4 Review. There are two kinds of comedy films. Ones that make you laugh because the jokes are genuinely funny, ones that keep throwing chaos at the screen hoping something eventually sticks. Lazy writing, bad jokes, flat humor, and cringe and crass humour. What has happened to the bollywood that made Hera Pheri, Golmaal and Dhamaal, all time classics that we still go back to for a good laugh. I mean i have a question from the writers of the movie what is wrong with you please don’t ruin the good franchises that we all love please i mean please. Just imagine after a week long of tiring work on my Sundays I go to the theatre to buy an overpriced ticket to watch a movie expecting that i atleast want a good laugh just that and what do i get a boring flat movie that relies on nostalgia rather than comedy. If I want to feel nostalgic I would rather watch some old Bollywood classics on an OTT platform and will get a good laugh on top of it like a cherry on the cake. After the movie I only felt one thing: “I want to thank the makers for ruining my Sundays”. Thank you so much.

Out of ideas
Trust me this franchise trend of bollywood that worked for Hollywood will end the era of good movies. Bollywood is just reusing old ideas that won’t work anymore. Dhamaal 4 rides the same wave and drowns badly. From the very start the film feels familiar and not in a good way. It’s the same treasure hunt, same chaos and the same race but that too repurposed badly. The problem is not in the formula its in its execution and at some point movie feels so predictable that you know what’s gonna happen next.
I mean where are the laughs ?
Jokes simply don’t land , end of story. A lot of humour depends on people shouting , overacting or repeating the same gag until it loses whatever charm it had. Some jokes, especially the body shaming ones, feel outdated and have already sparked online criticism. Comedy changes with time and I guess filmmakers haven’t gotten the memo.

The cast tries their best
If there is one thing that is keeping this movie alive it is the cast. Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmuk and Javed Jaferi know their characters inside out. Jaaved Jaaferi impresses once more with his brilliant comic performance. You can tell that everyone is putting their effort, but even excellent actors cannot help in executing unfunny jokes.
Is nostalgia enough ?
The biggest issue of the movie is that it relies too much on the audience’s love for the earlier films. It expects familiar faces and callbacks to do most of the heavy lifting. Nostalgia can bring people to the theatre, but it cannot carry an entire movie.

Bigger doesn’t mean better
The creators have definitely stepped up their game in terms of visuals to a significant extent. The action sequences are now larger than before, with an increased use of CGI and other breathtaking sequences. However, as pointed out in this Dhamaal 4 review, amid all that, the creators seem to have lost sight of the reason why people came to watch the film in the first place. Sure, there are some stunning visuals, but the humour is noticeably missing. Viewers have critiqued the treasure hunt segment for relying too much on visual effects and the artificial intelligence aspect of the film. While the emotional and heart warming moments resorted to melodrama and cheesiness. Nevertheless, some viewers have found the film to be a fun and brainless popcorn flick that works on the basis of sheer fun and silliness.
Dhamaal 4 Review Verdict
Dhamaal 4 is not wholly unbearable to watch. You might chuckle a couple of times and the die-hard fans might love seeing their favorite cast back in action together. But those expecting the same hilarious, mad stuff that made Dhamaal a classic may feel let down by this sequel.
